Getting There
Villa La Rogaia is in Umbria, fifteen minutes drive from the shores of Lake Trasimeno (near the border with Tuscany). From the UK, fly to Perugia or Florence and hire a car, or take a train to Passignano sul Trasimeno.
Flying
Rogaia is 40 minutes drive from Perugia (Umbria San Egidio), 90 minutes from Florence (Peretola), or 2 hours from Ancona or Rome (Ciampino).
From the UK, fly to Perugia, Pisa or Ancona with RyanAir (from Stansted) or to Florence from Gatwick with Meridiana (code shared with BA).
Driving
The villa's website has directions. If you want a local map, buy LAC map 58 which covers Perugia and Lake Trasimeno from Stanfords. At right we show the section from the Motorway exit at Passignano Est to Rogaia. Click on the map for a high-res version. The turn off from the SP142 is 1.6km after the village of Castle Rigone. The track is clearly marked on the map by a black dashed line - the junction is just where the map has the 3 distance marker.
The GPS coordinates of the junction are: N43.20268, E12.23962. Google maps has Streetview of this junction, clearly showing the official signpost.
Car hire
These are agencies for the car hire companies - it's cheaper to use them than to go direct. When comparing prices, make sure that you add any optional CDW.
